With only small, inconsistent surf on hand this morning, another lay day has been called today at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach. But Coastalwatch is forecasting the swell to start building today and especially Saturday out of the west southwest, thanks to the arrival of a significantly larger round of long period WSW groundswell, peaking in the 6 to 8ft range at Bells. The tail end of the pulse should maintain large, clean surf on Sunday with lighter WNW winds.

And Easter Monday will then see a new, long period SW groundswell, albeit a little smaller, accompanied by light winds.
