It’s gonna happen in San Seb so get your Wasque Country visas in order, stock up on effervescent vitamin pills so you dont get scurvy and get yourself down there. I’ll be drinking the fat out of those conical plastic cup thingys they stick in the white man’s swine legs that they hang from the ceiling of bars.

You gotta love the bars down there. Most EU nations recently made smoking illegal in bars but in the Wasque Co they made it illegal NOT to smoke in bars. They do it different. Anyhows, here’s some more info on the festi:

Amstel Surfilm Festibal Programme
The entire programme will be announced at the official press conference on June 3.

Having said that we can announce that the screening (European release) of Patagonia’s documentary 180 ° South will be held on the terraces of the Kursaal on Friday June 4. Supporting act Buffalo (Myspace.com / bandbuffalo), a group of surfer Ander Ederra Zarautz, will perform before the screening. After 180 ° South we will have our special tribute to Patrick Swayze, a screening of Point Break. It all starts at 21:30 on the terraces of the Kursaal.

The Surf Film Contest
The finalists of the short and feature film contests will be screened as part of the Amstel Surfilm Festibal. The closing date for submission of feature films (6,000 € for the winner) is up. We received more than 30 feature films.

The closing date for submission of shorts is 15 May, all shorts can be seen in our Daily Motion Channel (http://www.dailymotion.com/group/surfshortfilmcontest). There are several short film categories with a first prize of 1500 €.

On 20 May the jury will select finalists to be screened during the Amstel Surfilm Festibal.
