Surfers Arrested On Florida’s Gulf Coast

Something is rotten in the state of Florida!

Last Friday, three local Bradenton surfers were arrested, handcuffs and all, for surfing the Bradenton Beach Piers on Florida’s gulf coast. The YouTube description of the video reports:

“The surfers in this video did not violate any state statute, city ordinance or federal law. There was no sign that explicitly stated no surfing, or clearly defined a no surfing zone.

“The lack of the Bradenton Police Departments adherence to the correct legal protocol when making an arrest will effectively give these three men the ability to take this case to court and press charges against the Bradenton Beach Police officers and Department if they wish to do so.”

But mightn’t a deeper, even rottener conspiracy be afoot? The uploader of the video, who goes under the YouTube moniker ToServeAndProtect RealCriminals, is convinced, writing:

“ATTENTION: RIGHTFUL COMMENTS ARE BEING FLAGGED/DELETED BY THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. I HAVE SCREENSHOTS OF THESE COMMENTS UPLOADED HERE http://s1096.photobucket.com/user/Bra…. UNBELIEVABLE……..STAND UP FOR YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS AND FREEDOM OF SPEECH AS THE CORRUPT COPS WILL DO ANYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO TAKE THEM AWAY”
