Round 1 of the Boost Mobile Pro presented by Hurley will run at Lower Trestles today. The first heat is slated to hit the water at 8am in three to five foot (one metre plus) waves.

Officials will endeavor to run all 16 heats of Round 1 and the first two heats of Round 2 today. Heats will be 30 minutes in duration.

Bolstering the already stacked field will be former top-rated ASP World Tour surfers Rob Machado (USA), Sunny Garcia (HAW) and Shane Beschen (USA) and wildcards Yadin Nicol (AUS) and Brett Simpson (USA).
