The Oxbow Kid’s Week 2007 will be kicking off soon. The event is open to all participants aged 16 and under who want to get involved in the disciplines of snowboarding, freestyle skiing or surfing.

The Oxbow Kid’s Week aims to make water sports accessible to enthusiastic youngsters in an intensive week of high level training. The Kid’s Weeks started in Tignes in Summer 2000, and since then they have discovered a wealth of new young talents.

This year, the Winter 2007 Tour will move around 9 ski stations, 3 of them organized abroad (in Italy, Switzerland, and Spain) to select and invite best performing kids of each area to participate to the Summer 2007 Kid’s Week at the 2 Alpes.

The Summer 2007 Tour will take in several Atlantic beaches, with 2 abroad (in England and Spain) to select and invite the best performing kids of each area to participate to the Summer 2007 Kid’s Week at the Marinella beach of Anglet.

An intensive week of high level training will follow at either Les 2 Alpes or Marinélla beach in Anglet. Professionals will be on hand to offer an intensive physical training program including studying, video analysis, and an end of week competition. A number of pro riders will be there to demonstrate their talents & share their passed experiences, and Oxbow’s junior team riders will also be on hand as advisors.

The over all winner of Kids Week will win a sponsorship deal with Oxbow.

OXBOW KID’S WEEK TOUR – SURF QUALIFICATIONS

The Water Sports Tour aims to select the best kid from each beach location, the winner will then go on to participate in the final at Marinella beach, Anglet in Summer 2007.

Qualifying events will take place in early July in each of the following locations: Newquay (UK), Bretagne (France), Vendée (France), Aquitaine (France), Landes (France) and Pays Basque (Spain).

The final week for the winners will take place in Anglet from July 21st-28th 2007.
