‘Out There ‘ Movie to hit screens at the « Royal » cinema in Biarritz

In partnership with the « Royal » cinema in Biarritz, Surfrider Foundation Europe will be broadcasting the movie « Out There », produced by Teton Gravity Research. High definition 16mm movie, « Out There » shows a great number of spots throughout the world and gives a new and progressive look on the surfing world today.

Mankind threatens numerous virgin surf spots and surfers have to deal with the necessity of taking measures. Through the look and the experiences of the interviewed surfers and the local populations, the movie looks into the destruction of the environement threatening spots in California, Chile, Tahiti, Mexico, Hawaii … With all the possible cinema means, a great number of personalities from the surfing world and explosive images, the movie makes us realize the current risks and wonder about the ways to put in place to preserve the spots dear to us the best we can.

With Ian Walsh, Shane Dorian, Manoa Drollet, John John Florence, Jamie Sterling, Raimana Van Bastolaer, Jordy Smith, Jamie O’Brien, Nate Yeaomans, Brett Simpson, Greg Long, Garrett McNamara, Pancho Sullivan, Sterling Spencer, Maya Gabeira, Donavan Frankenreiter, Torrey Mesister, Herbie Fletcher, Carlos Burle.

Broadcasting of the movie “ Out There” on Saturday November 1st, at 10.15 pm, in English with simultaneous translation.

Price 3€ . Half will go to Surfrider Foundation Europe.

Tickets on sale at the Royal cinema from Sunday October 26th.
