A new website has been launched to make information on the beaches in the British Isles and everything around them more freely available. SurfingGenie.com has been created to allow surfers and other beach goers to get better access to information on beaches around the British Isles. By including an online community in the website the information will often come from the best possible source – other surfers.
The website provides full, searchable details of the beach and its facilities and also allows service providers to list their details for free alongside the beach so that local information is more widely available. The website already has a rapidly growing database of surf schools, bed and breakfasts and hotels and is adding restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs and other service providers over the summer.
The concept behind the site is simple: you shouldn’t have to spend a huge amount of time trying to find the right beach, or a surf shop, or an available B&B. Hopefully now you can spend less time searching and more time having fun in the water.
