Lizzard International surf wear company, launching into Australia in 2007 have signed Gold Coast surfer Corey Ziems to their international surf team. Gavin Roberts, Lizzard team manager says, “Lizzard is stoked to have Corey on our team. I have seen him on tour and he really impressed me with his confidence and competitive drive and it won’t be long before we see him on the WCT”.
Corey, who has been competing on the WQS for the past 3 years has had his best year yet finishing 36th. Largely unsponsored for 2006, Corey’s surf club, Kirra Surfriders raised $AUD5000.00 to assist his cause in 2006. Corey will start 2007 with the full backing of Lizzard and will be their number 1 Australian teamrider. He will be seen in their international ads and marketing campaigns.
Lizzard are very excited to see this smooth and stylish surfer succeed in 2007 and hopefully qualify for the WCT.
