LAY DAY AT MUNDAKA

Tuesday 6th Oct, Ellevenses.

With yesterday’s quasi-decent NW swell fading like an Indonesian beach towel and turning more west, Mundaka has been called off today. Meanwhile here in France there is still a bit of leftovers action, a few longboards out crossing swords in 2ft glassy peaks.

Here’s today’s update from Mike Parsnips and Kieron ‘Ron’ Blakey. Is it my imagination or is Ronnie Blakey, with his grown out hair and v-neck tee vibe starting to look like Russell Brand…?

Meanwhile, the charts look like offering little until at least Thursday, when a little bump appears briefly, which could well be a localised windswell. Snips reckons tomorrow will be off too, and then from the end of the week, over the weekend and early next week there seems to be something a-stirring.

Plenty of interest in the upcoming heats for the Euros when things do restart. Here are remaining round 1 match ups, and SE.com’s predictions. Remember, it’s a sudden death, thanks-for-coming, see you later, much later Rd1 format. Gosh!
