Basque bon-vivant and Patagonia ambassador (on condition he grew a beard) Kepa Acero has been well into his own thing lately. It started out with his solo project ‘5 waves, 5 continents’ a couple years back where he travelled the world in search of similar world-class left-handers to that of his homebreak Mundaka. With that successfully completed, he decided to organise a solo bike trip along the north coast of Spain. Just him, his bike and his shredstick. Most recently though, he put together a solo mission to southern Chile and the region of Patagonia, in the hope of discovering what is was like to be one of the original surf explorers of the 70s.
