Job Offer: Surf Camp Host and Operations Manager

Moroccan Surf Camp Surf Maroc are looking for 2 capable, enthusiastic, sociable people. One to manage and host The Taghazout Villa, their original Surf Camp, and the other a Logistics and Operations manager.

Required Skills/Attributes:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and sociable person who is also an organised, committed, reliable, composed, hard working team player and good at managing people. Being a experienced surfer is Essential. A good grasp of French is very useful. A driving license is essential. The jobs will suit someone who has the desire to live in the colourful culture of Morocco, by the sea and surf everyday!

Job Spec
The villa host/manager will be responsible for & required to be proficient in the following:
1) Administration:
Computer literacy as far as using google/excel spreadsheets, emails, In Design (basic training given)
Arranging & recording all guests airport transfers (receiving info/making manifests for airport collections, speaking with taxi drivers)
2) Responsible for general villa maintenance
Room allocation, managing cleaner(s), communication with chefs/kitchen staff for daily catering requirements, general & daily repairs/upkeep/maintenance. Attention to detail is essential.
3) Client Arrivals:
Welcoming guests. Giving a welcome tour explaining: the villa, the village/area, the daily routine, rental policy for wetsuits, boards & cars. Being available to all guests throughout their stay (arranging extra optional activities, answering questions..). The villa host/manager is in charge of making sure each guest has an amazing, well organised, smooth running holiday!
4) Logistics: Organising the best way to get large numbers of guests to the beach/surf, at the right time, with the right surf instructor and in the right vehicle. Managing our team of surf guides & instructors, whilst remaining calm and clear to all guests, satisfying everyone’s surfing needs, board changes/hire, car hire, surf lessons/guiding and recording all this daily information in a systematised way.
5) Socialising with the guests every day and each evening, having dinner together, making sure the atmosphere is great & everyone is happy!
5) Client Departures:
Arranging guests’ departures, transfers and onward travel.

The logistics role requires a methodically organised and intelligent quick thinker with a strong ability to problem solve to oversee the logistics and operations of all of our locations. The position involves being a strong leader with with a clear and decisive means of communication. French or Arabic is a essential as is a full driving license. You will be based in our central office in Taghazout and be a representative of Surf Maroc

Job Spec
1) Administration:

2) Logistical planning:
Assessing and balancing surfing numbers and levels against surf conditions, vehicle capacity and clients desires. This requires communication with the hosts of all three locations, our bookers and the surf guides. It is essential that this is conducted in a methodically manner with a great deal of foresight taking potential problems or changes into account. Each evening a day plan is sent to all the locations host of exactly who is taking who and in what vehicles.
3) Liaising:
Strong communication skills are essential both with other members of the team or with the public. The position relies heavily on communication not solely data entry.
3) Staff management:
As operation manager all drivers and guides/instructors ( approx. 10 ) will report to the central office each morning, from there each will be told how many, from which location and what level the guests are. You will need to report to the directors of the company if there are any problems regarding the surf guides, instructors.
4) Vehicle management:
You will need to liaise with our mechanic, car maintenance and guides and plan maintenance, cleaning schedules or repairs of the vehicles.
5) Booking and organising transfers:
Liaising with our transport company drivers or booking individual taxis. Preparing arrival manifest . This is conducted in french or arabic.
6) Equipment Center:
All the of Surf Maroc’s hire equipment ( we have a tuflite travel center of 30 + surftechs plus 40 + surf school boards and wetsuits and a fcs test center for fins ) will be located in the central office. You will have assistance in running this but will be essentially your responsibility for managing the recording of where and with whom equipment is and taking payment for rental and damage.
