Gotcha Surf Challenge. European Club Series Launched

Grass roots surfing, club competitions, Hossegor, Joan Duru, Didier Piter. Sounds good doesn’t it. Check out this press release:

Surfing is a lifestyle which evolved through local, grass roots surf scenes.

Gotcha, is celebrating 31 years of love to the ocean, a brand that was born and raised on the knees of these hardcore scenes, Gotcha was a group of surfers that contributed to the definition of this lifestyle, and became a leading icon of the surfing life style.

In light of its history, its current marketing campaign is based on going back to core roots of where it once started, supporting the local surf scenes, Gotcha is now launching a series of contests all over Europe under the title – the Gotcha Club Challenge, there is no better spot to launch, other than the Grand Plage in Biarritz, the surf capital of Europe.

This event will feature some of Europe’s best young and old surfers like Juan Duru and Didier Peter who will be surfing for Hossegor Club.

The contest is a very simple tag team format with 5 surfers in each club’s team that will surf down to a four club final.

The event will be held on the 25th of April at the scenic Grande Plage and has a 1000 Euros winner take all prize purse.

We have selected 12 teams from as far away north as Brittany and to the south in Spain.

Gotcha has launched this concept first here in France then across the rest of surfing Europe in hope of starting a tradition of inter club events.
The ultimate goal is to hold European Championships with the best two clubs from each nation represented.

Let the games begin!!!!!!!!
