Jeremy Flores and Tiago Pires both pushed on through their heats as the contest also entered the first 4 heats of the elimination Round 4. Jack Freestone was a standout surfer again today, offering up a wide variety of manoeuvres in the smaller clean conditions.
“The waves are similar to yesterday so I went out there with the same game plan," Freestone said. “This event is super important for my quest to qualify and I’m riding a magic board which I’m hoping will take me all the way."
Caio Ibelli was another surfer who’s been bringing his new school air approach to the Mr Price Pro and was a convincing heat winner.

Other highlights included Timmy Reyes knocking out Frederico Morais in a close heat as conditions slowed down at the end of the day. Another close heat was between Matt Banting who’s new school approach was just outdone by Dillon Perillo’s stylish powerful attack.
When competition resumes it will be with the final 4 heats of Round 4 featuring Europeans Marlon Lipke and Jonathan Gonzales. If they get through that they will meet Jeremy Flores and Tiago Pires in the Round of 16
