BRITS ON FIRE AT RELENTLESS BOARDMASTERS

Five of the UK’s top surfers have made it through to the last 16 of the contest dislodging some big names in the process and making blighty proud. Fistral beach is packed and the crowd are getting right behind our lads.

Russel Winter, Alan Stokes, Reubin Pearce Sam Lamiroy and Glen Hall are all through to slug it out for a spot in the quarter finals. Russell Winter looked invincible in his last heat, he seemed to sniff out all the best waves, his local knowledge definitely helping him dislodge Klee Strachan and Hodei Collazo in his heat.

Sam Lamiroy faces a tough test in the next round, he is up against the Brazilian whirlwind Wiggoly Dantas who won this event last year. With the swell slightly dropping Sam is going to be surfing a slighty heavier board to help him try and oust Wiggoly who unfortunately happens to one of the fastest surfers on the planet and in the words of Bruno is ‘so hot right now!’ Come on the Lamiroy we hear you cry!

With the swell dropping by the minute the organisers are cracking straight onto the next round of the top 16 and might even rattle into the quarters straight after that, otherwise they could be fighting the finals out in one foot onshore slop that looks set to hit Fistral by the weekend.

It’s worth mentioning that it’s pretty amazing that the surfers are able to concentrate with semi naked chicks mud wrestling on the beach. It’s safe to say the Lynx wrestling pit is going down a storm with the frothing Fistral beach, especially considering the beach is an absolute sausage sizzle.

Come on the Brits!
