There’s smoothies and there’s smoothies. Forget about your couple of strawberries with a large scoop of vanilla ice-cream, and maybe a bit of yoghurt, this is the 100% fruit crip, exactly what you want to put into your rig first thing in the morning. Cut up fruit of almost any kind: strawberries, raspberries, plums, melon, pear, apple, kiwi, (you get the idea) and put em in freezer bags, wack em in the freezer. That’s your prep done. Alternatively, buy one of those bags of frozen fruit from the supermarket. Simply hoy your frozen fruit into the blender in the morning, add a ripe (non-frozen) banana, a tea spoon of spirulina powder (any health food store) and a splash of apple juice (ideally the cloudy, organic kind – not concentrate.) Whizz it up with short pulses of the blades, drink, rip the bejeepers out of life, all day.
