Do you officially recognise Black Friday?

Personally, I’ve something of a complicated relationship with it. on the one hand, it’s quite clearly an evil of American neo-imperialism, of rampant consumer capitalism gone mad. To quote George Monbiot, “A garish festival of destruction”. Bad, bad, bad.

On the other hand, I totally love saving money when buying stuff. So you see, I’m terribly conflicted.
