The last couple of days have been pumping in SW France… The weather has been 30 degree sunshine, winds clean and the surf a pretty solid 10-12ft. While the swell was a touch west for La Nord in Hossegor, Basque Co spots like Guethary, Avalanche and Lafitenia have been smoking.

But.

Every now and again the ocean doesn’t want you. Every now and again she would prefer you went and sat down on the rocks. So she helps do so.

So what of our goofyfoot hero? French cameraman extraordinaire Ludo Lasserre of Falling Angels Productions said via e-adrenaline.fr “That guy was a Spanish Basque and a pretty experienced surfer in heavy conditions. He didn’t seem that bothered by it all. He just had a couple of scrapes on his legs and few dings in his board, but nothing worse.”
