Known to have gone on brand assignments (for Quiksilver) taking only one lens with him, MM’s photographic self confidence is surprising for a man who, physically, looks a bit like he probably got bullied at school… possibly by girls.

Maassen could almost claim his own signature mood indigo (look through his Instys and see if you spot a fair acreage of very dark blue), a couple clicks darker than Yves Klein’s International, and it works. As well as being relatively easy to misspell, Morgan Maassen is also an alliterative name, which pretty much guarantees longevity in show business.

Just ask Micky Mouse or Donald Duck.
