Hey! what’s up people?
Lay day here at the Quikky pro today with howling winds from the
north making a mess of Snapper Rocks. It’s the first day in the last
ten that the super-bank hasn’t been really fun. So lifes been pretty
great up here. Doing laps down the liquid line, catching up with the
boys on tour , watching legends get crowned at the ASP ball and
getting really excited about the year ahead. The vibe has been all
excitement and anticipation with the tour kicking off. I’m in my
little zone now getting pumped. Boards are feeling great and the body
is solid!

It’s so good to be here competing this time around after the pain of
a serious injury last year. I love it!

Had a great little session at south straddie this morning. For those
of you that have never surfed it it’s a super hollow French style
beachbreak just north of surfers. TB , Tommy whits, Brooko ,Steds
and a few of the lads were whipping in up the beach on their skis
while the rest of us paddled in on the main couple of peaks in front
of the sand pumping jetty. Goodtimes! ….until I had to paddle across
the sharky river back to the mainland !
Anyway all is good. Looking forward to the event kicking off again
and some good heats! I’m 13 stories up in my apartment at Coolangatta
overlooking the contest and snapper is starting to look fun again so
I’m out there!
