Just because the contest was on hold for a week, just because Teahupoo wasn’t at its 15ft cavernous best, didn’t mean there weren’t some cheeky little barrel sandwiches being served up at Chopes and elsewhere, didn’t mean the world’s best weren’t snacking. Tahiti’s good like that. Kelly, Kerrzy, Kieran Commissioner, Parko, Anthony Walsh, Italo Ferreira, Ace, eventual winner Jéremy, Seabass, Wiggolly and possibly others like nothing more than a generous helping of tropical filth.
