Freestyle is pleased to announce the addition of several up-and-coming young rippers to its 2007 team of athletes. Freestyle’s been on the lookout for the hottest new talent and signed some of the best for 2007 including: Andrew Doheny, Nat Young, Michael Ciaramella, Sage Erickson, Victor Done, Kaleigh Gilchrist, Brad Haglund, Sean Pearson, Joe Aaron, Mike McCabe and Chelsea Byland.
“We are pumped to be adding a bunch of young talent to the team,” said Freestyle Sports Marketing Manager Chad Labass. “These kids all have exceptional natural ability and it’s great to have their support. It’s a tough job, but somebody has to keep the groms on time in and out of the water!”
Leading the charge on the grom squad is:
Andrew Doheny (Newport Beach, Calif.) – Fifteen-year-old Doheny is blowing up the NSSA Southwest Explorer Juniors division ranked number one, and sitting comfortably at number two in the NSSA Southwest Open Juniors division.
Nat Young (Santa Cruz, Calif.) – A force to be reckoned with at the tender age of 15, Young is currently ranked number one in both the Northwest Open Juniors and Southwest Open Juniors divisions.
Michael Ciaramella (Stone Harbor, NJ) – Nothing short of dominating, 13-year-old Ciaramella has number one rankings in the NSSA Northeast Open Juniors, NSSA Northeast Explorer Boys, NSSA Northeast Explorer Longboard and ESA Southeast Boys.
Sage Erickson (Ventura, Calif.) – Ranked number one in the Gold Coast Explorer Women’s division and number two in the Southwest Open Women’s division (despite missing a contest), 16-year-old Erickson has built an impressive amateur career and continues to make a name for herself.
Rounding out the new additions to the team are: Victor Done, 15, Newport Beach, Calif.; Kaleigh Gilchrist, 14, Newport Beach, Calif.; Brad Haglund, 16, Encinitas, Calif.; Sean Pearson, 15, Oceanside, Calif.; Joe Aaron, 15, San Clemente, Calif.; Mike McCabe, 17, Ventura, Calif.; and Chelsea Byland, 14, San Clemente, Calif.
