Fancy this bad boy on your wall? Well you have a day or two to bid online, raise money for WaterAid and have a unique piece of art to impress your visitors with.  The London Surf Film Festival presented by Oakley has teamed up with Approaching Lines and some of Europe’s finest artists to present Surf Cinema Re-Vision. This is a project where artists were commissioned to reinterpret and redesign the art work for an iconic surf film.
These included re-imagined posters from seminal films such as John Millius’s Big Wednesday (see above) and George Greenough’s Crystal Voyager to modern classics such as Andrew Kidman’s Litmus and Taylor Steele’s The Drifter. You can check out all the artworks featured here.

The one off A2 Posters, by artists including Bull,Whale Submarine, Moot, Droog79, Wilma Johnson, Victoria Jones and David Beckitt, were exhibited during the Film Festival. They they are on sale via an online auction that runs to Friday 22nd November 2013. That’s right folks you have less than 48 hours, so get cracking. All the proceeds will go to WaterAid – an international non-governmental organization that transforms lives by improving access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities.
