The North Shore is to surfers what the Mecca is to the Muslims: Every surfer should visit it at least once in their life time!
The surf is powerful, with lots of water moving around. For those Europeans reading this newsletter, its like the Cannary Islands on Steroids … And now it’s a great time for Europeans to visit Hawaii, as the EURO is much better than the US DOLLAR.
Nomad Surfers have a new surf camp in Oahu, Hawaii. The house is on the North Shore, just minutes from Haleiwa on beautiful Mokuleia Beach. It is run by Edison, a former lifeguard who’s been surfing the North Shore for more than 20 years. The accommodation consists of a very comfortable beach house where the atmosphere is relaxed and the vibe is all about surfing and having fun. There’s a surfari package to go surf for those of you who want to charge big waves and stay at a local’s house, but there’s also have a surf camp package for those who want to visit beautiful Hawaii and learn how to surf in warm water, surrounded by lush vegetation and floating turtles. The camp is open all year. In summer months the islands receives south swells so there are waves all year round on one side or the other.
The Banzai Pipeline Masters starts December 7th 2008 for 15 days. Come and see the best surfers in the planet having fun in solid surf, getting barrel after barrel. If you are interested, you want to book asap as there’s not much time left before the Masters, nor rooms. The camp is a small family business and it books up fast.
