It’s been reported that 70s Australian surfing legend Michael Peterson has passed away from a heart attack at the age of 59. Looked upon as the most competitive performer of the 70s (winning nearly every surf contest in Australia between 1972 and 1977) during which time his paddling power and high speed rail work, in particular his trademark cutback, could be matched by few. MP also starred briefly in the cult movie Morning of the Earth. For more on his iconic wave riding steez, have a peep at these vids.
