Day 3 at the ISA world junior champs was up and running today. It started with a new swell and good wind and all was set. Some good performances went down from numerous members of our team today. Realm’s Arron Evans and Volcom’s Lewis Clinton had a heat together in the first heat of the under 18 repercharge and showed a good display of surfing and heat tactics to ensure that both Brits got through. On a not so sweet note of the day O’Neill’s Tassy Swallows was eliminated out of the event today despite surfing a good heat and having 1st position for the majority of the time. Performance levels have been stepped up another gear with mind blowing free surfing from the Aussies and the Brazilians. As the day went on the event was constantly being put on hold due to electrical storms and bad weather which has left the Brits on edge and suspense as Rip Curl’s Kathleen Spears heat was put on hold till tomorrow with 8 minutes and 20 seconds left with her in first place.
