After a couple practice waves on epoxy, Layer was back on PU in a flash
"This is the funnest event I've been to" said basically everyone in the contest.
Aside from regulation tail blow reverses, snaps off the top were more de rigeur than 540s
The wave is super fun, but pretty hard to blow up on, was the overall consensus from the talent that was here in Dolgarogg.
Freestone, Layer and Geiselman all reckoned it was hard to punt on, as it lacks a ramp… or even much lip. So while they had expected everyone would being going crazy and doing huge punts, the reality was even though the talent level was super high, 4 kinda samey snaps and then a finner at the end was pretty much it as good as it was ever gonna get.
“They need to put some sections in there somehow” said Evan Geiselman, “otherwise, we’re kinda limited to what we can do.”
