It’s possible that you’re not yet overly familiar with the name Tia Blanco, but you’ll probably be hearing it a lot in the years to come. Primarily because she rips — and we mean really rips. Also because she’s… erm, well… media friendly, let’s say. A compelling mix of Filipino, Italian, German, Irish, French and American Indian, hailing from Puerto Rico via Hawaii and now residing in California, earlier this year Blanco won gold at the ISA World Surfing Games, and her career trajectory would at present seem to be headed in the direction of the ‘CT — perhaps via a racy photoshoot or two.
