It’s been a long ass while since we saw any free surfing edits from Reunion Island and understandably so. Following a shocking number of fatal shark attacks from the last few years and an on-going official ban still in place on surfing/swimming in certain areas of the island, it certainly hasn’t crossed our minds of booking any surf trips to the French tropical island paradise. But yes people still be surfing there, including French rising talent and current national champ Jorgann Couzinet.

Home to a large part of France’s surf talent over the years (including Jeremy Flores as a kid), here’s to hoping Reunion Island continues to produce some of the most talented surf talent around despite its difficult shark problem.
