Kai Neville’s ‘Cluster’ Euro Premieres

The new full-length film from Kai Neville, the man who brought us Modern CollectiveLost Atlas and Dear Suburbia, will be premiering around Europe next month.

Cluster is to be screened in San Sebastian, Munich, and Berlin on Friday 13th March, before being taken to Barcelona on Saturday the 14th as part of the Movistar Surfcity Festival, and Newquay on Friday 20th as part of the Approaching Lines International Festival of Surf. Kai and a number of the surfers who feature in the film will be there at both the San Sebastian, Barcelona and Newquay premieres. Attendance is free, except for the Barcelona and Newquay screenings, and if you live in or around any of the aforementioned cities, pretty well obligatory; scroll on down for more details about times, venues and tickets.

The cast is made up of Craig Anderson, Noa Deane, Dane Reynolds, Chippa Wilson, Mitch Coleborn, Ryan Callinan, Creed McTaggart, Conner Coffin, Jack Freestone, Dion Agius, Dillon Perillo and Brendon Gibbens. If you haven’t seen it already, you can watch the trailer here, and for a further idea of what to expect, try this:

“We see a lot. But don’t remember much. The greatest moments of our existence aren’t retained. And neither are our worst. Authenticity means jack shit anymore. And that isn’t right.

How is this age going to be remembered in 200 years? 500? We live in an age of transitional technology. Everything is instantaneous. Cheap. Silly. It appears and it disappears just as fast. But this time we got the band together. And did it our way.

This is our bookmark. Our full stop. Our fuck you. It is an actual document of individuality and modern surfing and living and romping and laughing. Collect it and recollect on it. Here we are now, entertain us. And we’ll take it from there.

Enjoy your Coca-Cola tour. We’re spiking your soda, then the glass and kicking in the door to the museum. You’ll see.”
