Shipstern Bluff is surfing’s equivalent of a natural obstacle course. Tasmania’s Benny Richardson survives a brief wobble on the initial drop, then does a sterling job negotiating the dreaded Shipstern’s step, stomping the sizeable air-drop before busting through the chandelier to emerge from the pit triumphant.
