MEDINA, FANNING OUT, FLORENCE THROUGH TO SEMIS

Yesterday was a wash out in Seignosse/Hossegor, with much of the Top 34 ditching down to Mundaka. And while the swell didn’t drop too much today, the period shortened, making the Guardians contest bank do-able… for the world’s best. It started out hollow semi closeouts, then got pretty wobbly pretty quickly, then howled onshore.

Rd 5 went like:
John John beat Mick, Kerr beat Wilko, Jadson beat Toledo, Kelly beat Taj.

Then
John John beat Brother in QF1 and Kerrzy knocked Medina in QF2.

Here’re the day’s highlights:

John John’s victory lap 10 point ride on the low tide vs Fanning is probably worth another look…

Missed Day 1, 2 and 3’s thrilling wrap-ups?
