5. Ted Grambeau
5. Ted Grambeau
One of the very few of the old school grandmasters to properly embrace social with anything other than awkwardness/desperation/woeful misunderstanding of the hashtag, Teddy G’s also one of few photogs the mean intro to this post doesn’t apply to.
Just an all-round nice dude. Now north of sixty years old, but still keen as mustard, Grambeau’s pedigree is hard to refute.
North of sixty years old, but still keen as mustard, Grambeau’s pedigree is impossible to refute.
Schooled in photography under Magnum’s Burt Glinn in New York, Ted’s pretty much done it all, including riding a motorcycle from San Diego to Patagonia, one of the very first magazine photo assignments to Lakey Peak, and was in Iceland/Norway etc shooting iceberg stoke before anyone.
His grams feature swimwear models underwater, various stunning surf fare, but aren’t really the reason you should follow him.
Come to think of it, the real reason you should follow him escapes me.
In fact, don’t. Buy his book, instead.
